Psalm 4:8

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, LORD,
make me dwell in safety.

 1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Psalm 119: 129-136

Your statutes are wonderful;
therefore I obey them.

 The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple

 I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands.

 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love your name.

 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.

 Redeem me from human oppression,
that I may obey your precepts.

Make your face shine on your servant
and teach me your decrees.

 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
for your law is not obeyed.

Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.

The Lord Protects Us

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 They say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

Living in grace

 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Consider....

how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.
But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Luke 12: 27-31 New International Version

NO ONE is righteous before God.

Romans 3:10-12 - “As it is written: ‘There is no righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.’”

- We are separated from God. Isaiah 59:2

ALL have sinned and ALL fall short of God.

Romans 3:23 - “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

- Isaiah 53:6

The wages of sin is death (a spiritual separation from God).

Romans 6:23 - “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

- Sin leads to death. Romans 6:16,21

Even though we sin against God He showed His incredible love that He has for us.

Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

- 1 Peter 3:18

- John 3:16

- God saved us because of His mercy. Titus 3:5

There is a way to be saved from this sin and death.

Romans 10:9,10 - “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

- Jesus is the ONLY way to God. John 14:6

- We receive Christ through faith. Ephesians 2:8,9

- What is Faith? Hebrews 11:1, Hebrews 11:6

Anyone can be saved.

Romans 10:13 - “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

- To call on the Lord means to pray in faith for salvation.

- Acts 2:21

Matthew 6:25-34

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life [a]?

28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
